John runs London Marathon (again) in aid of P.A.L.M.S. Charity.

John, now in his 68th year, is at it again and pounding the streets of Heacham in preparation for his third London Marathon and even he is questioning his own sanity. Two years on from his last experience John can recall the splendour of the occasion and the warmth of the crowds. He has buried memories of the blisters, the dreaded 18 mile 'wall' and the indescribable ache of exhaustion.

John is again running on behalf of P.A.L.M.S. a locally based organisation working to support past and present residents of community homes for people with mental health problems. His interest is borne from a career in child protection and mental health.

His two previous runs in 2005 and 2008 has yielded over £3000 which was due in no small measure to the support of local people in the village and this year John is targeting the figure of £1500.

Sponsorship forms are being posted in shops and businesses in the village, including A.E Wallis, Heacham Fish Bar, Moulam & Horne, The Post Office, Station Road Garage, Sutton's Estate Agents, Tescos and The West Norfolk Public House.

Any donations will be gratefully received and John thanks you in anticipation for your support. If you wish to contribute and haven't located a sponsorship form, please give him a ring on 01485 579162

Pat & myself of Malc On Line are pleased to sponsor John and wish him well, and we will keep you up to date with any news and of course photos of John in the marathon.............Good Luck John!
