How Bad Does It Have To Get?
(Part Two)
Before a leak is repaired
Photos taken Collins Lane, Heacham.

LEAK FIRST REPORTED ON 12TH JULY 2009, ANGLIAN WATER VISITED THE LEAK ON 13TH JULY.
FINALLY ANGLIAN WATER REPAIRED THE LEAK ON 28TH JULY 2009

In my opinion as it only took around 3 hours to repair
SHAMEFUL!    WASTEFUL!    IRRESPONSIBLE!

Photo above shows the repaired leak on 28th July 2009

EUREKA!!!

Loads of phone calls and 17

days after the first one,

Anglia Water have come

to repair the leak.

Millions of gallons of water

have been lost.

Photo below shows the water leaking on 13th July 2009

Traces of a small leak were spotted a week or so before this photo was taken. This got slowly worse and on Monday 20th July 2009 some blue markings had been painted on the ground pointing to the leak. By this time there was a steady trickle as you can see by the photo on the left above. Nothing was done that day, nor the next day, and still today Wednesday 22nd July  at 8am nothing has been done.

I will continue to monitor this leak as I did the bad leak which appeared approximately 50 yards away which was reported
on this website, to see this leak please....... Click Here

Apparently this leak was inspected by Anglian Water on the 13th July and was categorised as ' Not an emergency' and so given a 10 working day repair schedule! If the water had been 'gushing out, it would have been given a 5 day working day repair schedule!

Also a local resident contacted Anglian Water on Sunday 12th July to report the leak, when the person from Anglian Water came out on the Monday 13th July he was told  'there are hundreds of water leaks like this one it is not an emergency!!!!!

What can you say but thank goodness we have had plenty of rain or they would be saying 'there is a water shortage' due to the hundreds of leaks of course!
