Five local
youngsters set off early on Saturday morning to Norwich
for a 9am start to the
Norfolk Junior Table Tennis Tournament.
The youngest
was 9 year old Mollie Patterson and after a long day
Mollie came home with a load of trophies. Mollie entered
the Girls Under 11, 13 & 15 singles and what a day she
had. She was winner of both the Under 11 and Under 13's
and was runner up in the Under 15's.
Next up in
the age scale was 13 year old Ross Brown and he was
Runner-Up in the Boys under 13's
Elder
brother 14 year old Karl also had success being
Runner-Up in the Under 15's and Under 18's
Both Karl
and Ross play in the KLTTA for Runcton Holme 'B' and
both had an excellent season.
Finally we
have Daniel Bullen from Dersingham and Ryan Hubbard from
Watlington who both played well in the Under 15's and
18's Boys singles.
WELL DONE TO
YOU ALL! |

IMPORTANT!
ALL TEAM SECRETARIES HAVE RECEIVED THE PROPOSED RULE
CHANGES/SUGGESTIONS AND THEY ARE ALSO ON THIS
WEBSITE. I WOULD BE
SURPRISED IF MANY IF ANY PLAYERS HAVE ACTUALLY READ
THEM, IF YOU HAVE NOT I SUGGEST YOU DO HAVE A READ. MOST
OF THE SUGGESTIONS ARE STRAIGHT FORWARD BUT TWO OF THEM
I CERTAINLY DO NOT AGREE WITH AND I WILL LIST THEM
BELOW
* Proposed:
R Drew Seconded: Exec. Comm.
Rule 3
Add " An Individual Affiliation is paid direct to the
ETTA for each class of membership. (i.e. Adult Player,
Junior Player and Associate Member). Each member to
provide the Association's General Secretary with his/her
ETTA membership Number".
I do not
agree with this, I feel it would be much easier for the
KLTTA to collect this individual ETTA membership (it was
£6 this season for adults) when the player pays his
KLTTA membership the KLTTA can then pay all registered
players ETTA membership in one go. I know many players
did not find it easy doing this themselves this season,
especially if they did not use the internet.
** Proposed:
G Rogerson Seconded
Rule 10a
Delete " 1vA, 2vB, 3vC, 2vA, 1vC, 3vB, 2vC, 3vA, 1vB.
Any pairing from each side to play a doubles" and
replace with
"1&3 v A&C, 2&3 v B&C, 1vA, 3vB, 2vC, 1vB, 2vA, 3vC, 1&2
v A&B
I certainly
do not agree with this, if you were at last seasons AGM
I think you will find because of the early finishing
time at Lynnsport it was proposed to alter the league
format to the same as the Challenge Cup format which has
three doubles and six singles therefore only 9 games. I
personally do not like playing doubles and if this
proposal goes through I for one will not be playing
next season. I like to just play three singles, if this
format comes in I would have to play two singles and two
doubles.
IT IS
IMPORTANT YOU READ THESE PROPOSALS/SUGGESTIONS ETC AS
ONCE THEY ARE PUT THROUGH IT IS TOO LATE IF YOU DO NOT
AGREE WITH THEM. PLUS CAN I SUGGEST THAT AT LEAST ONE
PERSON FROM EVERY TEAM ATTENDS THE AGM, I WOULD SUGGEST
MORE THAN ONE PERSON PER TEAM AS YOU ALL GET A VOTE. |

Mollie Patterson Qualifies For
National Championships |
 |
 |
|
Mollie entered the 11 to 14 year old Eastern Region
qualification event for the National Championships on
Saturday at Wensum Table Tennis Centre in Norwich. She
entered into the under 11's and under 12's girl's
event's and finished third in both, which means she will
now represent the Eastern region at the National
Championships in both age groups on June 10th at the
University of Wolverhampton in Walsall.
Well Done
Mollie! |
|
|
Below are proposed rule changes for
next season, please check carefully and if you find any
errors
or have any comments etc please fill in the contact form
on this website and I will forward on to the committee.
