DIVISION ONE

Runcton 'C' had a busy week this week as they had to catch up on two outstanding matches. The first one was on Tuesday away to Spin Doctors. Unfortunately the team of Alan Fuller, Bryan Parsons and Terry Clarke came away empty handed as they found the doctors Pete McDonagh, Roger Chilvers and John Wiggs performed a perfect operation by winning 10-0. This result means the doctors finish up in ninth place in the league.

Well the final outstanding match of the season was played on Wednesday evening between Runcton's Young Pretenders and Runcton's elder Statesmen. Runcton B's trio of Philip, Karl and Ross Brown finished off a fine season in style with a big 10-0 win over their 'C' sides trio of Bryan Parsons, Alan Fuller and Chris Snell. Runcton 'C' finish in unlucky thirteenth place while the 'B' side finish in fifth place. It has been a good season for the Runcton club with their other sides Runcton finishing in third place and the Runcton 'A' side in second spot. Plus the 'A' and 'B' sides met in the final of the Handicap Cup

PREMIER DIVISION

There were two outstanding league matches in the Premier. They were both played this week. The first one was between St James and Nets & Edges, this match has been outstanding since late September 2011. Once again St James found it difficult to get three players so it was Owen Turner and Daniel Deveau who had to take on the Nets & Edges trio of Alan Jones, Steve Goodale and Leigh McDonald and they went down 2-8. Once again the star of the show was Alan Jones who completed an unbeaten display beating both Owen and Daniel. While Steve and Leigh both beat Daniel. For the home side it was two wins for Owen over Steve and Leigh with the doubles going to Alan and Leigh over Owen and Daniel. Even with this result St James still finished in second spot while Nets and Edges were two places below them in fourth place.

The final Premier league match played was between Pegg Scaffolding and Avengers, this match saw both sides with a full compliment of players with the result going the way of the Scaffolders when brothers Peter, Jake and Bryan all finished up with two wins each to secure a 6-4 win. For Avengers is was a win each for Richard Mussett, Jim Defty and Andy Hunter, with the doubles going to Avengers. After this result Pegg Scaffolding finish in third spot and Avengers in seventh place.

So I can make sure that the match results, league tables and players averages are updated every week (hopefully Sunday mornings) could I ask all teams to make sure they send me in their results (both home and away teams so I have a double check) as soon as possible after the match has been played. Also could I ask all teams to let me have contact details (email or mobile or both) of two players from each team, this way if I have not received a result I can contact someone. Thanks!
