ADRIAN'S OLDSTARS AND BT VICTORY HAVE BIG WINS

Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall it was visiting Ringstead Raiders after their big 9-0 win last week finding themselves up against an in form Adrian's Oldstars. There was no stopping the Oldstars turning back the clock to become the youngstars as they romped home with a big 10-0 win. Super Sub Charley Hammond  joining regulars Mick Minns and Mike Nobes for the Oldstars and although the Raiders Paul Humeniuk, Richard Hendricks and Stephen Stafford put up a brave fight it was all in vein.

Alfie

Sedgeford Savages without their number one Ian Rix found it tough going when they lost 7-3 to Hunnys Heroes. Kerry Smith, John Marrow and Super Sub Bob Richardson all had a singles win over young Alfie Yarrow but that was their total points for the match. Hunnys Heroes Graham Keeley and Super Sub Tom Yarrow both went unbeaten and also teamed up to take the doubles.

BT VICTORY (8)

Mike

Dan

Ian

Steve

Trevor

Thursday evening at Sedgeford Village Hall again it was the home side this time Sedgeford Stars who struggled against title favourites BT Victory. The Stars had their regular trio of Mike and Dan Witley and Paul Richardson on board and it was a great evening for Paul who did well in beating Victory's Ian Reynolds and Steve Hales. However it was welcome back to the Heacham league for Trevor Palmer who was Man of the Match when he chopped his way to a great maximum helping his side to an 8-2 win which keeps then top of the leader board. Match Comments: 'Chopper' Palmer saves the day for BT Victory! Well played Paul Richardson!

SPIVS (7)

VS

VIPS (3)

Tim

Chris

Aaron

Jeff

Kim

Dave

Also on Thursday evening but in the top room of Heacham Public Hall it was the two newly formed teams Spivs and Vips doing battle. Both teams were without their number ones playing but were supporting their team mates. It was the experience of Tim Race that made the difference as he went unbeaten on the night plus teamed up with young Aaron Jackson to take the doubles. Aaron added two more points when he beat Kim Mann and Dave Curtis. Their final point in their 7-3 win came from Chris Griggs who edged home over Dave. Match Comments: We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the top room as our two teams played out a keenly fought match . Tim Race’s maximum went a long way to securing a 7-3 win for SPIVS . Game of the night Jeff Race edging out Aaron Jackson in five very closely fought ends . A first League win for Kim Mann over Chris Griggs , with Chris gaining his second win of the season over Dave Curtis. Despite not winning an end , Dave continues to take several points and is getting closer to that first win.

To play in the Heacham League all you need to do is be TTE registered. If any player is looking for a game please get in touch. Once again we are looking for 'Super Subs'. So what is a Super Sub? They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
