Monday 2nd October and another great night of table tennis as all 8 teams battled out the second week of the 2 Player League. BT Victory surged to the top of the table as Steve Hales and Mary-Ann Woodhouse had two big wins during the evening. Beating Adrian's Allstars 13-2 and then Spivs Specials 14-1. Hunnys Heroes who are top of the normal league find themselves at the other end of the table. However the Heroes are obviously using the two player league to give brothers Tom and Alfie Yarrow plenty of practice. Once again by the comments both are improving at a fast rate. The Super Subs who have a big squad to chose from had Mike Cooper and Charley Hammond in the team this week. Two wins for them 15-0 over the young Hunnys Heroes pairing and a 12-3 win over Sedgeford Savages. Comments from both Mike and Charley ... "All the new players are improving all the time unless we are slowing down" I think it could be a bit of both. Sedgeford Savages duo of Kerry Smith and John Marrow had a good night with a win and a loss, the win came against the Sedgeford Stars team of Dan Witley and Paul Richardson 10-5, but they went down to the Super Subs. Another team with a win and a loss were Spivs Specials who had Jim Race and Tim Race playing  against Ringstead Raiders winning 11-4. In their second match Jim was replaced by Jeff Race and this time lost 14-1 to league leaders BT Victory. Sedgeford Stars also had a win and a loss, losing to the Savages but beating the Ringstead Raiders pairing Justin Mullins and Mark Hipkin 11-4. Adrian's Allstars also had a win and a loss, the loss came against BT Victory when Mick Minns and Mike Nobes were in the team. Their second match was a win 12-3 over the young Heroes when Adrian Evans replaced Mike who had to pull out with swollen ankles. So all in all a mixed bag of results. Finally I would like to thank Mike Nobes, Mick Minns and Mike Cooper for turning up at 6.15pm to start setting up then a big thank you to all those who started arriving between 6.30 and 6.40pm to help and we were all set up by 6.45pm. Also thanks to those who stayed behind to help clear up, it took just 10minutes and we were finished by 9.35pm. Please note all teams are classified as home teams so please when clearing up will all teams chip in.

To play in the Heacham League all you need to do is be TTE registered. If any player is looking for a game please get in touch. Once again we are looking for 'Super Subs'. So what is a Super Sub? They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
