SEDGEFORD STARS EDGE HOME AGAINST SEDGEFORD SAVAGES IN LOCAL DERBY

Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall there were two matches. On table One it was Hunnys Heroes against Adrian's Oldstars for the Heroes regulars Rob and Alfie Yarrow and Graham Keeley. while for the Oldstars it was Mick Minns and Mike Nobes joined by Super Sub Bob Richardson who stood in at the very last minute due to Super Sub Charley Hammond injuring his shoulder......big thanks to Bob. The Heroes were always in front from the start and held that lead to finally win 7-3. Two highlights in the match, an epic five ender between Rob and Bob where Bob pushed Rob all the way and nearly took away Rob's 100% record. Highlight two was the incredible improvement of young Alfie in only his third match against all the big boys in the league...keep it up Alfie. It is great to see last two seasons Champions Hunnys Heroes bringing on new talent knowing without three experienced players there would be no way they could make it three in a row but watch out next season when young Alfie could be their new number one!

On table two it was high flying BT Victory with yet another strong line up (have they any weak line up?) as Mary-Ann Woodhouse had her first Heacham League Match alongside Steve Hales and Ian Reynolds. Their opponents Spivs who had Stephen Jackson, Tim Race and Chris Griggs in action. Spivs really had no answer but Tim did take Mary-Ann and Steve to four ends but in the end it was a 10-0 win for Victory.

They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
