Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall two league matches and on table three a coaching session. On table one it was Hunnys Heroes trio of Graham Keeley and father and son Rob and Alfie Yarrow. They were up against Vips team of Jim and Jeff Race and Kim Mann. Rob and Graham went unbeaten and teamed up to take the doubles in their 7-3 win. It was more experience for 11 year old Alfie and he is getting closer and closer to his first win in the league. Match Comments: Great evenings table tennis. Well played Vips in the best spirit.
On table two it was BT Victory taking on Sedgeford Savages, both teams had their regular three players. Victory had Mary-Ann Woodhouse back in action joined by Steve Hales and Ian Reynolds. The Savages had their number one Ian Rix joined by John Marrow and Kerry Smith. Mary-Ann went unbeaten but had four close ends against Ian. Her support came from a single win from Steve over Kerry and two wins for Ian over John and Kerry. Top scorer for the Savages was Ian Rix with two wins and John added another with a good win over Steve in five ends. The doubles went to Victory's Mary-Ann and Ian over John and Ian.

Roger                Richard                Paul

Eileen                    Bob                          Mike

Tuesday evening in Ringstead Village Hall it was the Raiders team of Roger Pincott, Richard Hendricks and Paul Humeniuk. The visiting Sedgeford Stars were made up completely of Super Subs as the entire Stars team were unavailable. So to the rescue it was Eileen Needham, Bob Richardson and Mike Wade. The end result was the third 7-3 score line of the week and again it went to the home team. Roger was the star act going unbeaten but not without a fight as he just edged home in five ends against Bob 13-11, 11-8, 12-14, 9-11 & 11 8. Paul added another 2 points and Richard a win over Eileen. Bob won two for the Stars and Mike had a win over Richard but again a tussle just edging home in five ends 7-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-9 & 11-13. So plenty of five enders including the doubles when Paul and Richard beat Bob and Mike 11-6, 3-11, 11-8, 7-11 & 11-9.

Stephen             Chris               Aaron

Charley             Mike                Mick

Thursday evening in the Top room at Heacham it was Spivs entertaining Adrian's Oldstars. The match got off to a cracking start with a terrific five ender between the home sides Stephen Jackson and Super Sub Charley Hammond. It was Stephen who edged home 11-9, 9-11, 11-6, 5-11 & 11-7. Some more close games followed with Chris Griggs losing to Mick Minns, Young Aaron Jackson losing to Mike Nobes, then Chris losing to Charley. Stephen came back to the table to add another point for Spivs with a four end win over Mike. So it was 3-2 to the Oldstars at the halfway stage but then they took complete control, winning the next five games to finish up winning 8-2. Match Comments: Good maximum from Mick. Game of the night was Stephen's 3-2 win over Charley. Chris improving each week . Another Great Night.

They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
