BIG WINS FOR SEDGEFORD SAVAGES AND STARS

What a match to start off the week when the top two teams did battle and a battle it was. The latest finish of the season as we finally finished at 10.30pm. Hunnys Heroes, last season's champions,  were unfortunately without Rob, Tom and Alfie Yarrow because of last minute family commitments. So Graham Keeley was joined by super subs Mike Cooper and Charley Hammond and for BT the league leaders regulars Steve Hales, Mary-Ann Woodhouse and Ian Reynolds. This undoubtedly was the match of the season so far, forgetting the score of 8-2 to the Heroes this match had everything and with 5 close five enders and 2 close four enders the result could have easily been a win for Victory or a draw it was that close. Man of the Match came from the Heroes trio when Graham went unbeaten, his defensive play took him back to the radiator on many rallies. He had great support from Mike and Charley who both notched up two singles wins each and the final point for the Heroes came from a doubles win by Graham and Mike over Ian and Mary-Ann.  Victory's points came from Mary-Ann with a win over Mike and Ian beating Charley. Match Comments: Well played, "Heacham League Select Team".
So it is now getting all very close at the top of the league but BT Victory are still the favourites to take the title.

TEAM Played Won Drawn Lost Points
BT Victory 14 10 1 3 94
Hunnys Heroes 14 11 1 2 90

Monday 28th January 2 Player League with all 8 teams playing two matches during the evening in Heacham Public Hall on four tables. Start time 7.15pm prompt please
We will be setting up from 6.30pm and it would be appreciated if anyone can get there early to help set up so we are ready to start prompt 7.15pm so we are not too late finishing.
It is imperative all teams turn up with two players. Cost 2 per player payable on the night. Each match will consist of 4 singles and 1 doubles...playing 3 ends in each game (not best of 3) with a point allocated for each end won. If any end reaches 10 all it is sudden death with next point winning the end 11-10 (no 2 clear points). Teams can have different player/s for each match if they want.

To play in the Heacham League all you need to do is be TTE registered. If any player is looking for a game please get in touch. Once again we are looking for 'Super Subs'. So what is a Super Sub? They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
