TWO MATCHES CANCELLED DUE TO HEAVY SNOW

Only one match was played this week due to heavy snow. It was touch and go on Monday evening if the match at Heacham Public Hall was to go ahead or not. Fortunately the match did go ahead with all players getting to the match and back home safely although extended travelling time was needed. However from Tuesday onwards the snow got gradually worse and the Wednesday and Thursday matches were cancelled.
Monday's match saw BT Victory closing the gap at the top of the table after their 9-0 win over Adrian's Allstars. Victory had regulars Mary-Ann Woodhouse and Steve Hales joined by Ian Reynolds and they proved just a little bit too strong for the Allstars Mike Nobes and his two Super Subs Eileen Needham and Charley Hammond who were standing in for the injured Mick Minns and Captain Adrian Evans who was in hospital.  But I am pleased to report Adrian is now out of hospital recovering. As always there were some close matches but in the end all the points went to Victory. This means that Victory have now closed the gap to 8 points behind Hunnys Heroes and next week it is the big one (weather permitting!) when the two top sides meet.

Please check that the roadwork's at Sedgeford have finished on time as with all the bad weather it is possible it might be extended.

To play in the Heacham League all you need to do is be TTE registered. If any player is looking for a game please get in touch. Once again we are looking for 'Super Subs'. So what is a Super Sub? They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
