BT Victory closing in on the title

Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall and it was Adrian's Oldstars taking on Sedgeford Savages. Super Sub Mike Cooper was the hero of the match with a fine hard fought maximum for the Oldstars and with good support from Mick Minns and Mike Nobes they had an 8-2 win. Mike C also teamed up with Mike N to take the doubles over John Marrow and Kerry Smith. The Savages 2 points came from Ian Rix. Although the score was 8-2 there were four close five enders and 3 three enders which all could have gone either way.

Steve

Tuesday evening in Ringstead Village Hall on a very windy night it was BT Victory blowing up a storm when their trio of Ian Reynolds, David Howell-Smith and Steve Hales beat Ringstead Raiders 10-0. Match Comments from BT 'the ever improving Ringstead Raiders' but their team of Mark Hipkin, Justin Mullins and Paul Humeniuk could not find a way to get a point on the scorecard. However there were two four enders and a five ender but all to no avail. This result almost secures Victory as champions.

HUNNYS HEROES (6)

Chris

Aaron

Stephen

Tom

Alfie

Charley

Thursday evening in the top room of Heacham Public Hall on another windy night Spivs were up against Hunnys Heroes. Another enjoyable match and a close result with the Heroes edging home with a 6-4 win. For the Heroes it was super subs Tom Yarrow and Charley Hammond joining young Alfie Yarrow while for Spivs regulars Chris Griggs and Aaron and Stephen Jackson. Some great games all evening with Tom going unbeaten and Charley adding two more points but the hero of the hour was young Alfie who had an epic five end battle 5-11, 11-9, 11-13, 11-6 & 9-11 against Chris adding the Heroes final point for the 6-4 win. For Spivs it was 2 wins for Stephen and a win for Aaron plus they teamed up to take the doubles over Tom and Alfie. Match Comments: Enjoyable evening had by all. Alfie playing some great stuff!

They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
