BT VICTORY AND HUNNYS HEROES TAKE TOP TWO PLACES

Final week of the Heacham Table Tennis League and the top two teams both finished in style with 10-0 wins playing in Heacham Public Hall. Bt Victory secured the top spot while Hunnys Heroes finished as runners up. Victory had Mary-Ann Woodhouse, Ian Reynolds and David Howell-Smith in top form against Adrian's Oldstars team of Mick Minns, Mike Nobes and super sub Charley Hammond. The final score does not reflect the closeness of the games as there were 2 five enders and 4 four enders. Match Comments: As competitive and fun as always! Which I think sums up what the Heacham League has always been about.
Hunnys Heroes were also in devastating form when Rob Yarrow and super sub son Tom and Graham Keeley beat Sedgeford Stars trio of Mike Witley, super subs Bob Richardson and Kerry Smith 10-0. Once again the final score does not reflect some really close games.

Thursday evening in the top room at Heacham it was the final match of the season when visiting Sedgeford Savages beat Vips 8-2 and with it moved into third spot just one point ahead of Adrian's Oldstars. Once again it was the Savages Ian Rix who went unbeaten and he had good support from John Marrow and Kerry Smith who both had wins over Jeff Race and Kim Mann plus they teamed up to take the doubles. Vips points came from two wins by Jim Race beating John and Kerry. Match Comments: Very enjoyable evening that completes the Heacham League at the end of a successful five seasons.

MEETING MONDAY 8TH APRIL AT 7.15PM IN HEACHAM PUBLIC HALL

A meeting is being held to discuss the formation of the new internal league being run by Heacham Table Tennis Club for the 2019/20 season which will replace the Heacham Table Tennis League. We are looking to form six teams with three matches being played, throughout the season, every Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall. So will all players who have said they want to play in either a team or as a super sub please attend the meeting. If any player who wants to play either in a team or super sub cannot make the meeting please let me know in advance (by email malc@malc-on-line.co.uk or text or call me on 07450527168) so I can arrange for them to be put in a team at the meeting or down as a super sub. The meeting starts at 7.15pm but it is the intention to put up tables before the meeting so all players have a chance of a knock with their new team mates etc. We will be setting up three tables around 6.45pm if any one can get there early to help.

To play in the Heacham League all you need to do is be TTE registered. If any player is looking for a game please get in touch. Once again we are looking for 'Super Subs'. So what is a Super Sub? They are players who play in other TTE affiliated leagues but would like an extra match or two or more during the season. There is no cost to be a Super Sub as long as you are TTE registered. There is no commitment on your part, if a team is short of a player they will have a list of Super Subs and contact details. They will contact you asking if you can help out and it is your choice to say if you are available or not.
