Thank you for
considering our beautiful holiday cottage. If you
are a keen birdwatcher, or just like to be beside
nature, The Roost is for you.
The Roost was
designed and built, in the 1990's, in keeping with
adjacent property, but is actually considerably
younger than it appears. This modern home enjoyed a
'make-over' in the early part of 2024 and its
spacious, contemporary interior is ideal for the
discerning holiday-maker to relax and unwind; it
sleeps two and well behaved pets are also very
welcome.
Bedroom - king
size bed, with ensuite shower and WC and window
looking into the garden.
Large
kitchen-diner, with pine fitted units, oven, hob,
dining table and chairs, washing machine, tumble
dryer, fridge with icebox, kettle, toaster,
saucepans, crockery, cutlery and other conveniences.
French doors opening onto the patio.
Spacious lounge
with two leather recliners, 60 inch flat screen tv
and double-doors to Juliette balcony, offering
sweeping views across the fields towards the sea -
ideal for birdwatching.
Bathroom with WC
and corner bath
Designated
workspace with desk and Wi-Fi (included)
Holme-next sea is
a coastal village on the A149. The ancient Roman
road, 'Peddars Way' starts its long journey here.
The village pub, The White Horse, is within easy
walking distance of The Roost, as is the
neighbouring bird reserve.
The beach is a short drive or approximately half an
hour walk; there is a car park.
At Holme Beach there is a further bird/nature
reserve, along with other reserves all along this
part of the beautiful Norfolk Coast.
Nearby golf clubs include Old Hunstanton and
Brancaster; there is a 'Pitch and Put' in Old
Hunstanton and crazy golf in Hunstanton.
Hunstanton is the nearest town, 5 - 10 minutes car
journey, and is a typical Victorian seaside town
offering sandy beaches, shopping, funfair and other
amusements.
Royal Sandringham is about half an hour's journey by
car.
Norfolk has only one city, Norwich, which is around
an hour and a quarter by car, where you can explore
the castle, two cathedrals, the historic city wall
and enjoy the theatre or cinema.
The Roost is
available all year round for full weeks from Friday
until Friday, or short breaks from Friday - Monday
and Monday - Friday.
