WEEK 18...MONDAY 12th FEBRUARY  2024

As we get close to the end of the season with just two more weeks to go; although the league leaders lost this week they have enough points in the bag to clinch the title.
On table one it was an excellent win for bottom of the table Adrian's Allstars over last years champions Heacham Knights. This was mainly due to super sub Benji Richardson standing in at the last minute as he scored 2.5 points of their winning total of 6. He had good support from regulars Mick Minns 1.5 points and Mike Nobes 2 points. For the Knights it was Mick Forth and Kevin Saunders who shared the points scoring 1.5 points each.
On table two a close 5-4 win for Counter Hitters over The Inlaws. Ian Rix was in great form for the Hitters going unbeaten in both his singles and doubles for 3 points. Paul Waterman added 1.5 points while Tony Trayford chipped in with 0.5 points. For The Inlaws Stephen and Aaron Jackson both had 1.5 points and Jim Race added the final point.
On table three it was a rare defeat for league leaders The Terriers when they lost to the Coastal Crusaders trio. Bob Richardson was in great form when he went unbeaten in his singles and doubles scoring a valuable 3 points. Leigh McDonald added a further 2.5 points while Phil Ball had a good match adding the final 1.5 points for the biggest win of the night 7-2. For The Terriers Janice Howell 1 point and Graham Keeley and Eileen Needham both got  a half point.
There is really no way, with just two weeks to go, for anyone to catch The Terriers as they still have a 13 point lead but there is all to fight for second place as any of three if not four teams could finish runners up.
Next week back to the normal format.
