With just one week to go to complete the league we already have a champion as it is now impossible to catch The Terriers as they are 13 points clear of their nearest rivals. However second place is still up for grabs.
Last night was another enjoyable night of table tennis with teams playing in the normal format.
On table one it was The Terriers back to winning ways with a narrow 5-4 win over The Inlaws with The Terriers Graham Keeley back on top form with a fine maximum. He had good support from Benji Richardson who had 2 wins. For The Inlaws a good all round team performance with Jim Race 2 wins and Stephen and Aaron Jackson both having a win over Barry Lemel.
On table two Counter Hitters had a good 5-4 win over Heacham Knights thanks to a superb maximum from Paul Waterman. Ian Rix and Tony Trayford added the final two points with wins over Chris Griggs. For the Knights it was two wins each Mick Forth and Kevin Saunders.
On table three another 5-4 result when Coastal Crusaders edged home against Adrian's Allstars. It was a maximum for the Crusaders Leigh McDonald and he had good support from Bob Richardson with 2 wins. For the Allstars it was 2 wins for Mick Minns and a win each for Charley Hammond and Mike Nobes over Phil Ball.
So just next weeks Challenge format to complete the league season and still any of four teams can take second place.
