WEEK 16...MONDAY 29th JANUARY 2024

Yesterday on a mild Monday evening another great night of table tennis in the Public Hall.
On table one it was a convincing 7-2 win for Counter Hitters over Coastal Crusaders. Maximums for both Paul Waterman and Ian Rix did all the main damage with Tony Trayford adding a final point. For the Crusaders it was Bob Richardson and Phil Ball who had a point each.
On table two another convincing win for league leaders The Terriers when they beat Adrian's Allstars 7-2. It was another clean sheet for Benji Richardson and he had good support from Janice Howell and Eileen Needham who both added 2 points. For the Allstars Mick Minns and Charley Hammond added one point each.
On table three it was a 6-3 win for Heacham Knights over The Inlaws. The Knights had Mick Forth back in action with a fine maximum while Ollie Loades added 2 points and Chris Griggs the final point. For the Inlaws it was 1 point each from Ron Kendal, Aaron Jackson and Jim Race.
So The Terriers increased their lead at the top of the table to 15 points and it is going to be hard for any team to catch them now although still a long way to go. There are only 4 points separating the next four teams with The Allstars a further 10 points adrift.
Next week its back to the normal format.
