With just two more weeks to go to complete the league we already know we have new champions Counter Hitters as they are 19 points clear of their nearest rivals. However the fight for second place is truly on with Coastal Crusaders on 117 points with Heacham Knights on 115 points. My money is on Heacham Knights if both teams field their strongest trio.
Last night some more great matches with Hunnys Heroes after being in bottom place for most of the season their big win moves them up to fifth place.
On table one Coastal Crusaders lost ground when they went down 5-4 to Adrian's Allstars. No player could keep a clean sheet. Mick Minns and Mike Nobes added 2 points each while Trevor Mason added their final point for the Allstars. The Crusaders Leigh McDonald top scored with 2 points while Bob Richardson and Phil Ball chipped in with a point each.
On table two Heacham Knights had two super subs playing along side regular Sam Pishorn and they certainly did not let the team down. Paul Waterman went unbeaten in both his singles and doubles while Mike Cooper added 2 points as did Sam in their 7-2 win. The Terriers points were shared a point each for Stephen Hunt and Janice Howell.
On table three a massive win 8-1 for Hunnys Heroes over The Inlaws who have really missed the injured Jim Race. For the Heroes maximum points for both Rob Yarrow and Kerry Smith and Alfie Yarrow added 2 points. For the Inlaws 1 point it was an excellent singles win for Stephen Jackson over Alfie.
